Birelart on the podium at SuperNationals 27 in Las Vegas
The SuperNats 27, held on the iconic city of Las Vegas, proved to be an intense and action-packed weekend for Birelart, with the team showcasing great performance across the board.
Cristian Bertuca made an immediate impact in qualifying, securing Pole Position in Group 2, while teammate Jordon Lennox-Lamb followed closely with a strong 3rd place in the same group. Meanwhile, in Group 1, Pedro Hiltbrand was 10th, setting the stage for an exciting weekend, and Matteo Viganò, representing CL Racing, positioned himself 6th.
The heat races were a true test of consistency and racecraft. Bertuca showed exceptional speed and composure, finishing second in two heats and fifth in another, keeping him in contention for the main event. Lennox faced tougher battles but managed to fight through the pack with finishes in 10th, 16th, and 11th. Viganò delivered moments of brilliance with a strong comeback to third in one heat. Hiltbrand, on the other hand, demonstrated impressive overtaking ability, gaining multiple positions in every heat and securing finishes of 6th (+6 positions), 3rd (+3 positions), and P4 (+1 position).
The Main Event, called SuperSunday, capped off the weekend with high stakes and high drama. Hiltbrand led the charge for Birelart, delivering a masterful drive to finish second, climbing five positions in the process. Bertuca, after a challenging race, crossed the line in sixth, solidifying his reputation as one of the team’s key drivers. Lennox-Lamb also showed resilience, moving up six spots to finish P15. Unfortunately, it was a tough race for Viganò, who had to settle for P28 after a challenging final.
Birelart leaves Las Vegas with plenty of positives to build on. Hiltbrand’s podium, Bertuca’s consistent pace, and the team’s determination throughout the event underscore their competitive edge.
