Rotax Indian Championship

Birel ART India's driver Ruhaan Alva dominated the Micro class in the first round of the Rotax Indian Championship, which was held in Hyderabad. Ruhaan, who is also competing in the Easykart Italian Championship, qualified on pole position, and won both heats on Saturday. On Sunday, he picked up where he left and also won the prefinal and final. In each race, he finished with a victory margin of between 5 to 8 seconds, highlighting Birel ART India's dominance in the Micro class.

Birel ART India also locked the entire front-row in the Micro final, with rookie driver Rishon MR starting second, alongside Ruhaan. On Saturday, Rishon had received a 10-grid penalty in the first heat, for a contact with another driver, and he was forced to start the prefinal from 8th. However, in Sunday's prefinal, Rishon displayed an aggressive driving style that moved him from 8th to 2nd. In the final, however, an unfortunate 10-second penalty for a jump-start ruined Rishon's chances and moved him down to 7th.

Solid finishes also for Kunal Vinod who had some hard fought battles in the midfield, which saw him move up to 6th place. Aadi Karande also had some great wheel-to-wheel battles and finished 9th in the Micro class and 4th in the Mini-Micro class.

In the Junior class, rookie driver Mihir Avalkki had a very solid weekend where he showed very polished and controlled driving. Mihir finished his first final in the Rotax Indian Championship in a very promising 5th position.

In the Senior class, Shreyansh Jain had an aggressive race, which saw him the unfortunate victim of a first-corner incident, but he was able to climb up the field and recover to a solid 4th place finish.
