Cantin doubles up at Mont-Tremblant

The Eastern Canadian Karting Championship finale came to an end at the lush Circuit Mont-Tremblant. With an outstanding performance by Birel ART, drivers were able to utilize their chassis to the maxiumum potential in the wet and dry track conditions.

Ben Cooper Racing (BCR) has established themselves as the top Micro/Mini development team in Canada, by scoring the top 3 positions in each category with each session. Saturday’s final saw Justin Arseneau (BCR) finish P1, William Michaud (PSL) P2, & Dale Curran (BCR) P3. Mini max would be a similiar story with Patrick Woods-Toth claiming the victory on Sunday.

Natael Cantin was in complete control of the Junior Max field, doubling up with a win in the wet and a huge win on Sunday against Canada & America’s best on the Birel ART RY-30. Trenton Estep (BCR) finished P2 with his debut on the Birel ART.

Jeffrey Kingsley would make his start in Senior Max with a stacked field of drivers, showing pace from day 1 while also driving double duty in DD2. Kingsley would finish P3 Saturday and P5 Sunday.

DD2 team drivers, Kingsley and Bizzotto established a clear message early in the week, and were untouchable throughout the event. Kingsley scored the win and Championship Title Sunday, with Bizzotto finishing P2 on both Saturday and Sunday. DD2-Master’s pilot, Luc Sauriol would take the win both days, as well as securing the DD2-M championship.

Briggs Jr pilots, Kelsey Hann and Cantin would battle and push for the win, with Cantin securing the top podium on Saturday. Hann would finish P5 Saturday.

Long time PSL pilot, Kevin King had an eventful weekend aboard his AM-29, and on Sunday, would conquer all with a solid P2 result.

“Each event, our program’s stength and work is rewarded with top results. The Birel ART is effortless engineer, allowing our drivers and partners to focus on aspect of racing that matter most. With a fantastic set of results and a few Championships secured, the momentum for PSL and top team’s like BCR & NR Racing, the 2016 season is beginning to look very bright.” - Andrew Campbell, Team Manager
