Official Birel ART Rotax team, KMS, run by team owner Peter Kalman, arrived in France for Round 2 of the BNL, well prepared for the tough competition and weather in Ostricourt.
Powered by GKS, DD2 pilot Ferenc Kancsar (HGR), was able to claim pole and take the win in Final 1, and finish P2 for Final 2. Ferenc has been an international sensation in 2015, travelling to North America, where he also finished on the podium in his Birel ART CRY-30-RX.
Senior Max driver, Oliver Askew (USA), again powered by GKS on the RY-30, was able to take the pole against some of Europe’s best competition. In the final, Oliver finished P3, with the fastest lap.
New to the Birel ART chassis, Junior Max driver pilot, Nico Scholl (AUS), qualified 5th, eventually finishing P3 in Final 1, and very close to attacking for the win in Final 2 (finish P2). Scholl displayed tremendous speed and consistency on the RY-30 each session.
“Our entire team, including our partners Birel ART and GKS, are putting in huge efforts to reach maximum success. It’s important we thank all our mechanics and drivers for their hard work from this past weekend” - Peter Kalman, Team Principle KMS.
